Further update for those interested.
Michael Martyn appeared in court yesterday to apply for a variation in his bail conditions so that he could go fishing with his family.

Conditions varied without objection by prosecution. Martyn also had his reporting conditions relaxed.
Apparently he is not allowed to enter Katherine where the victim's family lives. Despite the fact that both Amee and the kids transferred to Darwin to get away from the memories of Katherine. Prosecution said not a word in opposition.

Again his conditions were relaxed so that he could go fishing with family, I'm sure Brett would love the opportunity to be wetting a lure too.

Just goes to show - they varied his reporting conditions to 4 times a week instead of every day - disgusting. Had he killed anyone else other than a police officer - let's say, ummm, a backpacker for instance - he would still be on remand. Arsehole.
