If he got his compressor from them then I wouldnt bother, I did my 4 and 2 of his in the time it took him to do 2 of his with his compressor but we thought it might have been a bit of resistance in the melted fuse that may have been slowing it down.

I might get one of the Vacuum packers though, I normally get the butcher to do it when we go away but it would be heaps good to have the freezer at home with all vac'd stuff as well as it keeps much longer and a lot less mess.
The Missus cooks up Stews and honey mustard Chicken, Sweet and sour chicken and a host of other meals and always makes extra so that I can Vacuum pack a couple of each to freeze and take away when camping. They help cool the portable fridge down as well and all you need to do when you want a meal is plop a pack of your choice in a pot of boiling water and heat for about 10 minutes, snip bag and pour onto plate and when you're finished you have got a pot of hot water for the washing up, Regards Frank.
