spent a few minutes today revisiting the loom and found there are two levels of tape on it, aside from the bit i had unwrapped to the firewall gromet, the rest was reasonably intact, so i unwrapped it and found there was a second cover on it, covering the extra wiring for the blackout lights and the power to the trailer plug, ( 3 wires in all, Red/yellow,brown, green) the main loom cover was good and there was even a factory 'wiring checked' sticker, I all I did was rewrap those wiresback to just before the firewall plg with new nitto tape. Too easy, the behind the dash stuff I'll wrap with that that spiral stuff, to keep it together, no need for tape under there.
Dave i take it you use the split conduit and the spiral on the work vehicles you have to fix?
