Here's an idea: Recently there was a thread about an alleged shonky replacement of AC belt (4pk1320) with a shorter 4pk belt around the fan pulley instead of the crank pulley. My response to that was the opinion that it placed too much strain on the fan bearing, which is a problem to replace. However, if you could live without A/C temporarily, you could have your endless air hooked up to the 4rib pulley on the crank, and after you finish your off road adventures, you could hook the AC belt back up in about 5mins. I suppose one of these days somebody will have the AC running off a short belt around the fan pulley - much like a 70's car - but it would be a gamble as to whether or not the fan bearing could take the strain. Of course, if you can live without AC permanently, our British cousins like to mount endless air type stuff where the AC usually sits.
