G'day Inmate63

All Aust Military Series 2/2a Landrovers both LWB and SWB and 1/2ton trailers were fitted with Rover rim part number 272309 5.5inch with a 1 13/16 inch offset from centre, the Ser 3's were fitted with the same rims but with a new part number AYG-3038, these rims were made by ROH in Aust. there is a later rim part number AYG-8108 which was/is a rim size of 6.00 x 16 inch to take the radial tyres.

The other dual purpose type tyre tread that Brian Hjelm mentioned would probably have been Dunlop Road Track Major, or Olympic Trojan, both of these tyres were conventional cross ply types, the Road Track Major is still available I believe, in both 6ply and 8 ply types, these vehicles were designed and built before Radial tyres were invented and came into common use, so wheel alignment & tyre pressures in all workshop manuals are for Conventional/Crossply types

Hope that is of some help.

cheers
