Dealers . 2nd Hand Vic , NSW

Getting a bit frustrated at the mo with sourcing a 2002, 110 X-Treme.

Other than the following dealers and Car sales etc , does anyone know of any other dealers trading used Fenders.
I've contacted, ULR , MLR , Lance D , Gorrells , Massaro's and Blacklocks with no joy but left my number.

Will call Ritters , and AMV later and even Alto ,Trivett and Graham Cooper in NSW.

There used to be a dealer in Geelong , Stewart Webster ? and another one down Frankston way?

Pete

What are you actually looking for? There is a dealer in Millicent SA who has second hand utes on occasion.

Stewart Websters were/are in Frankston. Lost the LR dealership, sold Ssangyong's for a while, now sell caravans so won't be of much use to you.....

There was a small yard in Hallam (on the Princes Hwy) that used to have a lot of secondhand LR's but I think that they have changed hands and/or have now moved out of LR sales. I'll look on the way home tonight.

Why 2002? Don't you like electric windows?

Late 2002 Pauly.
It has the Leccy windas
Don't want to sell me back that wheel do you?
Just debating whether to have the second set of rims as Disco Tubeless or Wolf Tubed.

I still have the 4 Disco rims I guess and could use 2 of the alloys as spares

That's my 6th spare - It now has a spanking BFG MT KM2 235/85 on it.

The reason I asked about the year is the ECU too. It was about that time they changed to the flash upgradeable ECU so you can get a bit more grunt without changing the chip.

I may have some Wolf Rims (tubed) coming up for sale soon, I'll PM you if I do. (Haven't decided whether I'll put them on the Series 3 or not.)

Hi sleeps .

I've got a set of Wolf Rims ( tubed ) as spares
May leave them on the County for the next owner though
Just deciding on the whole tubed versus tubeless for Remote Travel
Don't intend to swap any tyres on the track if it can be helped.

I think Adam Plate from Pink Roadhouse states that the higehst incident of flats are actually tubed wheels as the heat builds up between Tyre and Tube.

Tubeless also makes sense for an emergency plug repair.

At least I still have 4 good Disco 1 rims

Cool, I'm sure I'll move them if the time comes.

With the risk of a thread drift, I have always been a "tube" guy but I am now starting to think that tyres that are made tubless don't always run that well with tubes - heat, as you say.

I have heard people say that you need to make sure the inside of a tubless tyre is smooth and doesn't have any ridges or stickers etc that may casue friction and then heat build up.

I am converting to tubeless (hence the 6 disco rims) - I too will carry a repair kit and a couple of tubes. We'll see how I go on the Bourke trip in May
