Engine mounts are completely different, also different position.

AFAIK flywheel housing has same bolt pattern for bell housing.

just no power( it goes like a 2.8 hilux) it runs perfect burns no oil no fumes has been rebuilt by previous owner pistons plus 40 thou ,ive owned a 300 an a 200, before this one an i no how they go stock, an after a tune up ,ive upped boost to 14psi wound up pump checked injector timing. it did a head gasket , i could tell by injector spray pattern that two were no good replaced them Stil didnt really go any better (a clue maybe ) timing is on its marks fuel economy is down a bit doesnt blow black smoke unless pump is wound up to much!!!!!!!!!! im just over it, my 300tdi went great till i rolled it got 700kms to a tank an was faster than most 4wds , i picked up a 130 extra cab for 2 grand with maxi drive diff locker an axle's an a buggered injector pump jelious haha the plan was to put motor out of it into my 200 , but it was too good of a car to wrek so i gave it to dad after i replaced injector pump The only thing i havent checked is the lift on the cam unlikely but maybe its ground off a lobe or two?

Try diesel gas.
You get a good increase in power for not much investment and better economy.
