On the tyres - not legal

On the lift - 50mm is the limit ATM

They fit with no lift, at least on my trayback

Guess I would need only a 30-50 mm lift as the 110 is never fully loaded.
Tyrewise I have to chase a different size then. Did someone ever look into 17 options?

I always thought the 255/85 R16’s were +1.3” larger on diameter?

The VicRoads regulations** appear pretty straight forward.
Tyre Diameter +2” Max. (1” lift)
Suspension lift +2” Max. As a kit with a written statement from the kit supplier to be retained by the vehicle owner.

My understanding is that currently Victoria is the only state with these regulations.
Would I be correct to assume that this creates roadworthy and possibly insurance issues when travelling interstate?

ARB advise me that they only fit up to 2” lift.
They do not supply any form of written statement to comply with VicRoads VSI-8.
Does anyone know of a suspension supplier who provides a written statement?

Things have changed recently in Vic. I suggest you read the following

Vehicle standards information : VicRoads

And then look at the modification guide PDF item 13.

My take on it is you can have a 50 mm lift and 50mm tyre diameter (25mm radius) increase giving a 75mm lift without certification.

255 85 r16 is my choice.

According to

The difference in dia. between 235/85 16 and 255/85 16 tyres is 34mm. so I guess this means they are legal.
