yep I did mine vertical, wont know till I use it next which could be a while. Thanks for all the help guys
We mount ours vertical. By the way it's not just the toll you pay it's an additional admin fee for doing the photo matching. It seems sometimes they will charge it if your tag did not work and they see you we're holding it up. We have had to call them a few times to sort out various issues and how helpful they are seems to depend on who you get on the phone.
The Southerners and disco drivers don't seem to have the same problems we do

The photo matching is generally done automatically with plate recognition - not a matter of people individually checking photos.
Also it works off the rear plate so they wouldn't see you holding the thing up in any event.
I wonder whether holding the body of the tag can cause it not to work due to some sort of earthing / additional resistance from your body / inteference issues?
I had mine on a flat mount (car style) and it worked... usually...
It's a PITA to keep checking the etoll account online to make sure they aren't hitting you up with the stupid extra fee. Tightarses !

I have a standard mount, and have it in the same place as Trout, actually mine is even lower stuffed in between the glass and the dash. Has worked 100% as far as I'm aware.
