Question Plug in power increase for 300TDi?

Has anybody heard of this unit before?

I didn't think this kind of technology was available for 300TDi's.

Powerpro diesel tuner performance upgrade for 1997 Land Rover Discovery 300Tditurbo diesel engines, with automatic transmission. 25% increase in power and torque in a simple plug in unit.

Power gains from 82 to 97 Kw and 255 to 300 Nm.

DIESEL PERFORMANCE MODULE, LAND ROVER 300 TDI - vShop Item 542135

You can't use it on a TDi300. It only suits electronically controlled diesels

Only works on EDC 300Tdi's and AFAIK, none were ever imported into Oz ? (They have an electronic boost compensator rather than the mechanical one)

The latest LRO mag mentions a 300Tdi Version that had an electronic fuel pump. Standard power on these was 120BHP. Obviously something we never got here.

Theres a few about, BBlaze has one but I think he has a EGR only, not a full fly by wire EDC version. A friend of mine I worked with in WA many years ago imported 2 from Japan, we had fun trying to work out how it all worked, they were only 2 years old at the time and no one here knew anything about them

It is basically the same system as the early Freeloader 2 litre diesel, fly by wire throttle and full EGR etc the pump is electronically controlled and the system runs a MAF etc. A total disaster to do this to a nice simple engine like the Tdi

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

And IIRC there's a nice increase in the cost of the 'electronic' injector too...
If you had one, you'd be thanking your deity it's only one injector with wires.
