Better, but still a little....meh.
I'm interested to know if the 'flatness' of the show is due to franchise restrictions, ie. the format and style of banter or just uninspired direction.
James Morrison is a great choice.
Psssst.

I found it a lot better than the first series. James Morrison was good and getting rid of Charlie was probably the best thing they did.

Warren got a good rise out of Skaife on the lap time, thought that was well done!

And as for how they got rid of the "What were they thinking wall" - brilliant, worthy of their founding show.

I think it's definitely heading towards something more promising and worth a second look.

Yes i thought it was MUCH MUCH MUCH better!!!!

James was an improvement, i highly agree with a comment bellow saying .They should have tasks where they get 2000 and have to buy a 4x4 and cross a dessert or something big!

I really enjoyed it. I think James is a great addition, much better than Charlie.
Very funny. I think it will get better as it goes on.

Did you notice that Warren has been promoted to the "Jeremy" role doing the interviews etc.
James Morrison is not the direct replacement as the anchor man, Warren is, and I thought he did it well.
Didn't really like the BS with the stig's OZ flag, as they acted as if the Stig was rabid. This has never been the case on the UK show. The joke is he just says nothing.

MUCH BETTER!

It still sounds a tad flat and corny, but their is an air that it will settle down over time. The last series was just a mash of crap and charlie cox-head.

I see light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank goodness Charlie is gaawn, gaawn, gawn. James Morrison is a real car nut, doesn't try to emulate any of the Brits, and is a great bloke to boot. I like the more authoratative feel of Aussie car shows (ala Glen Ridges show a while back) without the "politically incorrect because I'm known for it" silliness. Well done guys - the slightly wooden performances will smooth in time.
