AULRO Infractions

As most have noticed, there have been occasional upheavals in the past that have required action by the admins and or mods to quell.

The current incarnation of the software used by AULRO allows this to be somewhat automated and much easier to enforce or apply and manage.

So you all know how it works i have laid out the following simple guide.

I will add more to it as time allows. it will be added to the FAQ area when i get time as well.

it works like this....

Quote:
The AULRO Infraction System Explained

Unacceptable behaviour will be rewarded with demerit points.

Certain behaviours attract more points than others as listed below

  • Inappropriate Language results in 1 demerit point
  • Excessive Unruly Behaviour results in 2 demerit points
  • Inappropriate Commercial Post(s) results in 2 demerit points
  • Personal Attack(s) on Other Member(s) results in 3 demerit points
  • Sexual Harassment or serious attack(s) results in 5 demerit points
  1. Should you reach 5 demerit points in any 12 month period you will be banned for 7 days
  2. Should you reach 10 demerit points in any 12 month period you will be banned for 1 month
  3. Should you reach 15 demerit points in any 12 month period you will be banned for 3 months
  4. Should you reach 20 demerit points in any 12 month period you will be permanently banned
Admins and Moderators have the power to award demerit points.

There are buttons available in each thread to report any behaviour you consider inappropriate "considering the conditions of access". The reports are passed on to Moderators and Admins.

Please consider the conditions of access before reporting another user.

It is not something to be played with, inappropriate use of the reporting system will earn you points as well if it seems to be excessive.

Should you have any suggestions on how i may improve or make this system more effective please PM me.

Re item 1. the inappropriate language clause

to clarify what i mean it to mean, so to speak....

i meant it to mean more than "words" thats why i used "language". not so much meant as general swearing but more aimed at abusive or derogitory or belittleing phrasing etc.. that is boderline on personality attacks or demeaning in other ways, suggestive or racist etc etc. stuff that is too pointed to be passed off jokingly.

it would also be used for really excessive swearing i suppose if it was really over the top, but that hasnt been much of a problem to now, whereas there has been some sniping, bordering on racist or harassing remarks that have been attended to quietly in the past.

hope it makes sense to you.
