Probably doesn't help, but on Friday I am doing Dubbo - Melbourne. Returning via Yass in about a week after that.

It was my late son's bus. He bought it just before he passed away this year. It was a comms bus full of electronics when he got it. It had two crank up 7mm aerials, one front, one rear. JDNSW now has the aerials and the Subaru diesel-alternator out of the side of the bus.

The bus had 6000 km on it when he bought it. It's a 1987 model. It now has 9000km. We have the service records. It was serviced every six months - between one service and another it did one (1) km. Another time, 15 km, and another 39 km.

I need to sell it - soon. It gets 14.5 litres/100km on a trip - I checked when it loaded with all my son's furniture.

I hadn't noticed the no. of posts!

I just looked at a map, I don't know if I'll bit on an item - it's at Tyers which is a fair way out of Melbourne.

Suppose there are a few options in relation to the rack if it turns out you get it.

1) I can collect it either in my car or in a work car (if available and therefore not costing me a cent).
2) Someone down that way could transport it closer to Melbourne if travelling to town and I can rv with them.
3) You could freight it back up to you (around $90 I suspect) or maybe John or Disco Steve might have the means to transport it back up your way when they're down in Victoria next. (John this weekend & Disco Steve in a few weeks)
4) I collect it and we rv at a half way point and swap barrier, andrews annexe and the roof rack.

See what happens...

It's all coming together.

Amshaw, can you PM your mobile no. to me?

Outlaw needs something take from Melbourne to the Gold Coast. If we can get it to Dubbo, Signal1 might be able to take it to the GC.

Outlaw's item

Just on that, if Outlaw's item is already in Melbourne, it would make sense for me to just bring it from Melbourne straight up to GC if it doesn't get there earlier than 20/09.

What is the item, glass for a Defender?

Peter

I think the cargo barrier would be a bit big but the Jayco thingie of Andrew's may fit. I'll measure it tomorrow. (I'm not at home at the moment.)
