    Port-a-loos

Mrs Vlad (she officially is now) has been nagging me for some time to get her a portaloo for those occasions we are camping away from any facilities.

The latest Anaconda catalogue has the following available:

    RED DESERT Portable Toilet
Twn tank design made from High density polyethylene construction.
Completely self contained. 10 litre holding tank capacity.
Secure clamps and latches. Comes with innovative stand to increase unit height.

    $129 (discounted from RRP $149-99)

Anyone know if these are any good. Is that a good/standard tank size ?

You could always try a Jimmys Thunderbox at least if it tips upside down in the back of the rangie it wont make a mess

Check Aldi. They had them a few weeks ago - they may still have some left. $99.

    same ones ?

As per my original question - is that a pretty 'standard' unit - eg are most that 'capacity' ? etc

Another thing to carry, but happy cooks a happy camp. Which ever one you go for someone with alot more experience than me gave me some good advice before we brought ours. Big is not better, you have to lift everything you put into it. Samme is not better, you don't want your knees at your ears. The best type has a good seat height and storage to last about four nights. With the chemicals they have emptying them isn't as bad as firts thought. but it does depend on how week your stomach is!

    I think 10l is a smallish capacity.

What you need is a BumperDumper

That way you don't loose any travelling time, Missus climbs over the back. opens the rear doors, climbs down and sets herself up, that way she can warn off any other vehicles following too close, though she is going to have to keep the feet up or else wear motocross boots

I bought mine from Anaconda, at the time was about $149, cant remember brand name and cant be fagged going to the garage to check ( but will later ). Bottom line it is great, have used it for me and the 2 kids when we have gone to fraser, bribie etc and normally empty it after 2 days. Great convenience, especially for the number 2's . SWMBO hasnt come camping yet, so cant get a report from her, but my princess ( ie 9 yr old daughter) really appreciates it,

    Regards

    Stevo
