Which tent to buy?

One thing I didn't pick up last holidays was a new tent. OK so I got a camper trailer, but I still need a tent for those places the trailer won't get to or can't be taken to.

Always had dome tents for the last 10 or more years, so that's what I've been looking at online.

Really like the look of the Black Wolf Turbo tents but they take up a it more room when packed up.

So what is better quality: OzTrail, Coleman, DMH, Black Wolf...?

I am sure you have seen it on one of the vids or photos of my disco?

For all it's worth , myself after seeing how quick a 30sec Oztent (oztent.com.au) was to set up, this is the one we are going to get.
We will be getting the biggest one, Oztent RV-5 at $1099.00 well I hope to get it a bit cheaper as a mate of mine works in a camping store.
Looked and looked and was getting to confusing, you can go cheaper but what the heck how many times have we driven and driven till it's dark and then try to set up a 6 man dome tent in the spotlight.

weve got what I recall to be an oztrail we picked up from Kmarts clearance trolly becuase it was missing the poles for the annex all up including 2 poles from the camping section $200ish... 2 sections made to sleep 6 total but if you got cosy and left the gear in the car would easily take 8. I can set it up in about 30 minutes while connie plays with alex.

Second best tent Ive ever owned.

the frist was a single person throw tent that set up as fast as I could unzip it.

good choice ....we have had ours for years...1 person can set up while the others gets dinner ready...drinks ..and everything else...takes 1 person to take down and put on the roof racks.....EASY....

as said, the oztent is a fantastic tent.Friends of ours have had one for years..they put it on the trailer behind the harley.

I havent got one as they are to long to fit in the disco,& i dont have a rack.
i have got an Ezy up,which is a throw up type tent...extremely quick to put up& pack up.also packs up real small.it has been good.it is a 5 person & sleeps 4 & gear easy.

Would put my vote in for the Oztent. We have one and its so easy to use. And you can add to it and take different bits depending on the type of trip your on.

yeh OK long ...........thats what a roof rack is for.....
ho har can take it off the roof and have it set up while I am getting dinner cooked ............the longest is setting up sleeping requirements .....mattresses and sleeping bags etc ...other than that..... no probs by 1 person

consider it

That's what I say too...too long!!

Depends on what you want. If you aren't going to use it mush a cheaper dome tent one might do the trick. We bought one from KMart for $140...took it on a desert trip and by the end of the trip (6 weeks) at least 2 zippers were had it
So...depends on how much you want to pay I guess....we went out and spent the money on a decent centre pole jobbie....
