    Well...

I have two strong metal hooks on both hammock sides and think about screwing two ring bolts on the corners.

Actually, this was just approving the idea: I open slightly my sunroof and slept well a couple hours.

Just for test I left one side over rear door and another - over passenger's top handle and fix it by passenger seat belt. One should put down double rear sit and move forward passenger’s.

The method is clear from second foto: http://www.flickr.com/photos/timka21213/2592693762

    Good luck and have fun!

Very cool! Just watch your stresses. The force on the attachment points tend to be significantly more than half your weight, so they have to be quite strong.

Do you position yourself slightly diagonally inside the hammock? That is, your feet on one side of the centerline with your head on the opposite? One can lie nearly flat that way.

What brand hammock do you have there?

Yes, shure. I will try to figure out the strongest points on the structure of the car.

No, I lay stright and bend left knee in a such way just to make clear that I don't touch surface of the back seat. Ofcause, digonal position will be more flat than mine.

    I have hammock like
Parachure Nylon Hammock , it is a gift from friend of mine to my birthday. Actually, it is a little bigger than internal Discovery II size.

I've used this method a few times.
Attached at the front through the door jamb to the roof bar, and at the rear over the door top and down to the spare as far diagonally opposed as possible.
Needs to be tight at the start.

    1. Fold middle pax seat forward (You can't do this if you fold the front first!)
    2. Fold Front pax seat back
3.Tie off at the spare end first. ensure any metal fixtures don't damage your door top.
    4. Shut rear door
    5. Pull other end taught (optional to shut door first and pull through ajar window) and tie off.

Now the Fun Bit ; )), you need a little agility the first time, then you'll get a method that works for you. Getting into a hammock 10cm below ceiling height in the back of a Disco ain't easy!

    6. Pull the hammock down as much as possible and roll in slowly Gimp-like.
Enjoy the luxury off the ground

    Hints:
A- Practice this at home in the dark. Not for roadside practice, you just look like a weirdo and the police will be called Seriously get your distances and tensions right before you attempt this in a torrential downpour.
B-Have you crap squared away (Packed up for the night, including a trip to the 'P' tree) before you get into the hammock. Once you're in you don't want to repeat the process until tomorrow night.
    Enjoy.
    Dave.
