    Sagging Head lining

    Does anyone in perth know of a motor trimmer who's does the notorious saging roof lining of the rangie's and is it a costly affair, looks like it could be quite involved.

    TMA - i believe it is not beyond a DIY job to be quite honest. I have been given Trimcare in Carlisle - off welshpool road - as the place to go for any trimming and they are very familiar with rangies.

    my roof is sagging in a 90RRC and i'm of the thinking that its just a matter of tearing back the cloth trim, getting some new trim, perhaps a foam liner of sorts and then restick it to the moulded backing.

    check out youtube for DIY inspiration. headliner retrim should find you a few gems. Good luck. Tim

    It's pretty simple to remove the fibreglass (I think) headlining, pull off the old foam backed material and then use some decent contact adhesive to glue in new material. I used a felt product with no foam backing that I got from an auto trimmer. About $200 all up from memory. Should have done it sooner...

    It only cost me $100 to have mine done by the trimmer (after I removed the headlining).
