Ok Thinking of differnet seats that I can put into my Classic 4 door 1986. has people put Disco seats or even P38 front seats? I really want leather in my daily driver RRC but they dont seem to come up too often in leather OR they are worse than my seats

SubscriberI have done the reverse, put RRC seats into a 97 Discovery. The leather seats in the Disco were fine but I wanted the better range of adjustment- i.e. height and tilt- of the Rangie seats, also the arm rest.
It's a straightforward swap, all the mounting points are there but the 2 models utilise different parts of the mounts. I had to file out 1 pair of holes by a few mm. The back seat is a straight swap but the catches that hold it upright have to be swapped over. Different catches but they mount to the same holes.
I still have the leather disco seats in my shed. Come to think of it, i still have the Rangie seats too, I wrecked the car.
