    Disco rear seat into RRC

    Hay all,

does anyone know if the rear seats bolt into a RRC? They look very similar. My bro's RRC seats are buggered and the idea is to put Front and Rear seats out of a disco.

    Cheers nat

Yes the rear seats are a straight swap, easier then the fronts. The latches that hold the seat upright are different, when I did the swap the disco seats had a push-button catch and the 1988RR seats had a lever catch, can't remember whether I swapped the bit on the seat or the bit on the body, either way it's a very simple task.

Interestingly I'm looking at going the other way and putting RRC Front seats into a 98 disco and I was wondering how many dramas I'd have

None at all, that's exactly what I did. One front seat mounting hole has to be elongated slightly with a round file (actually four holes, one in each runner). Vast improvement on those dodgy discovery seats.

    To make it more interesting,

will a D2 back seat fit into an RRC? this would give 3 lap sash belts in the rear

    Hi Nat,
I wouldn't bother with the front d1 seats as these are developing a habit of collapsing in the base when the rubber support lets go. Perhaps the seats from a late d2 would be a better option?
