    tyres rubbing on wheel arches

So, my tyres are rubbing on my wheel arches, but only just. It was worse before so I put some spring spaces in and now its not much, but enough to shave my new tyres So, I'm thinking I either need to get the wheel arch flared, or flexi-flares fitted. What is the best option? What is cheapest? Whats involved?? Its an 84 RRC

The old girl is surprisingly straight so I am anxious to not hack it around rather to make a necessary improvement. If that makes sense?

Well that's a bit hard as to fit flares that work you need to trim the guards. You could try a different offset rim then.

Is trimming the guards a DIY job or definitely one for the panel shop?

Which hit, front or back or both?

2 inch body lift, 2 inch spring lift, then trim the inner rear guard near join with the rear quarter. If you feel under there, there is a piece of metal which sticks out which is more than likely what has cut your rear tyres, then trim near where the rear door seal sits on the wheel arch. This helps without actually cutting any external panels.

Sounds like a plan! I have an angle grinder and the lifts are already done. Job for next weekend!

    Thanks everyone.
