Find a second hand ARB rear bar (They come up )and weld a trailer stub axle on from supercrap auto. Machine up a hub and weld a home made Tyre carrier on it.
Hey Guys,
Still building up my rangie and just wondering if any one has had a good rear bar made up for a rangie or knows of anyone that i can buy one from.
I have an 89 model with a 2.5 inch body lift, and it also needs to have the ability to hold a 33inch tyre
what are my options,i'm based in sydney
cheers in advance

The ARB bar is great but doesn't look the best with 2 1/2" body lift. I've seen a few modified to suit but they don't seem to look 'right'.
Hopefully someone can suggest an alternative for you.

depends how good you at modifying....
Here was my Rangie with an ARB bar I purchased from the wreckers...I cut it up to suit a 2" body lift and then trimmed the corners to aid departure angle. I also trimmed the rear lower quarter panels and added RHS (braced back to the chassis) to the bar to protect the cut panels. Rear wheel carrier is from LRA and I modded it to suit the cut bar, then added a reversing/work light, shovel and axe holder. The wheel carrier is designed to carry any sized rim/tyre combination.
Cutting and welding the bar to suit a 2" or 2.5" body lift is not that difficult. There is any easy way to do it withough comprimising the strength of the towing capacity.
Cheers
