I've got a 2003 Disco and used an auxiliary input interface box which plugs into the back of the Visteon head unit using the CD changer socket. You then just take the headphone output from the ipod to two RCA plugs which connect to the box. It was made by PIE in the US but they won't sell direct, I had to get it through a web vendor who turned out to be a bit dodgybut it all worked out in the end
cost about $100 which seems a bit exy but I couldn't find an alternative at the time
go to PIE :: Precision Interface Electronicsand search for LNDR/PC-SON
Feel free to PM if you need more info
cheers, Andy
