    Hi Baz,

Mine is a 09/11 TDV6 and I am fairly certain that mine does have a DPF. My manual implies that it is.

I am a no expert in mechanical matters at all but there is a thread somewhere in the d3/d4/rrs section that someone who is much more knowledgable than me described how to find it on your vehicle - under the passenger side somewhere?

I tried to find the thread but could not remember what the original title of the thread was - hopefully the original poster can help you out.

I had a look on the Disco3.uk site, they say if the 8th letter of your vin is G it is there and M if it isn't, the 8th letter in my vin is a number

I can only assume the vins for Aust are different.

    Cheers Baz.

Graeme told us about the DPF. It is located under the passenger seat in the exhaust pipe if you have one. I thought mine had one but when I looked there is nothing but a straight pipe and a spare mounting point for it if it was fitted.

    Hi all
All 2.7's in Aus do not have DPF.
Was only introduced for the 3.0l.
    If u have a 3.0l, your vin will have a G if u have a DPF.
Eg: SALLAAAG incl. DPF, SALLAAAF no DPF.

    Cheers.

    Hey Baz,
You have the same as me, a 2.7 so it will have a 1 there.

We are taking the car to Trivetts next Friday, they going to see why our economy isn't very good, I thought having the DPF could be why the economy was crap, I like Trivetts, they have restored my faith and have always been good to us.

    Thanks all,

    Baz.

    Thanks Pete.
First time someone has come up with a simple way of finding out whether they have a DPF or not.

    Cheers, Craig
