ARB D4 Bull Bar - Fitting Instructions with Photos

I don't know if this has been posted before (haven't been following the bull bar threads recently), but today on the ARB website I stumbled upon the fitting instructions for the ARB Deluxe Bar. It's got photos with callouts/arrows and everything.

    Here it is: http://arb.com.au/media/products/323...00_fitting.pdf

Might be useful to some people who like taking it all apart to do one job or another.

    'The' Instructions!

    Hi Eddomak,

Those instructions have been around for a while but I am sure they will be appraciated by those who have not followed the Bullbar thread.

Sad to note that ARB still state the bullbar does not fit the HSE models.

    How wrong they are!http://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/smilies/mad.gif

I have a 2011 HSE with a winch/bull bar and front parking sensors. The only issue they thought they would have is if I had the surround camera.
Fitting was a nightmare (so I was told by ARB gents) and there is a gap but I have already seen that without it, there would have been some serious rubbing.
    Very happy with the result

Fitting is a nightmare!!! I'm not going to dive into the whole "which one is better" argument but it does appear to be a tricky vehicle to fit a bar too. Mine still isn't lined up properly & my mechanic did mention ARB was quite defensive about it.

Hi guys, just an update, this bar has now been approved for fitment to HSE models and our website is being updated to reflect this.

    Cheers, Sam.

    Hi All,

Does anyone have an updated link to this document? This link does not work for me. I am looking to replace a number of the bolts that hold the covers and seem to recal this document listed all the sizes of the bolts I will need.

    Thanks,

Fitting this bar is simple - it can be done by one person!

Those with poorly gapped bars unfortunately have had them fitted by workshop jerks with no care or respect.

Took me a day working by myself to do the entire job.

And mine is aligned to the point you cannot distinguish any misalignment.

Thank you SBD4, I also had taken a copy of this when i first came accross it but lost it (with heaps of other stuff) when one of my drives crashed but that's another story.

I believe the bolt hardware used for my bar was not what came with the kit as they all appear to be zinc coated and not black as specified in the instructions seems odd to use anything else. Many of the bolts are now rusting and I was thinking of swapping it all out for stainless button bolts so as to avoid the likelihood of bolt head damage on the tracks as well. Is anyone else experiencing rust of the bolts?

I am doing more and more of the work on my car myself now to ensure if something needs an extra 30mins to get right then 30 mins it is.
