I had them in a 245/75/16 on my previous Discover 2a and liked them a lot.

When I'm ready for new tyres for the D4 I will certainly look at these as a serious option.

They're XL rated rather than LT but are likely to be a better everyday tyre (for some) than the LT versions, eg the LT245/70-17 that I have as a 2nd set which are quite noisy compared with my Conti ATs. The 19" has smaller voids and more blocks for the same OD so should be quieter.

Try Kmart for price as Kmart was way cheaper than others for my Duratracs.

Just merging the 2 threads, seeing as they are on the same thing, and bumping it up to the top of the page as well.

    Duratrac 255/55/R19 available in Sydney

After 3 month wait for these to be brought into the country, I picked mine up a few weeks ago and have been away in the central west for the first 1300km. Very happy so far. Road noise minimal, noticed them at 90kph however didn't bother the wife so happy with that. Will be swapping back to my other rims this week (Wrangler All Weather) so will compare ride and notice.

Did some mud and rut work with these on and was very happy. Pulled a BT50 out of Macquarie River whilst on soft sand (apparently circle-work mishap...) and didn't wake my 3yo in the back!

Note John at Tempe Tyres brought a batch into the country when he saw the chatter online regarding suitable tyres for LR rims. Apparently sourced them from Germany, and I was happy with the price.

    Pirelli scorpion atr
    General grabber at
Wrangler mtr probably a step to far though

Cooper zeon ltz I have low faith in these not based on any personal experience though seems to be a mixed bag some have good experience others diabolical I dont know which one I would fall into.

I think those are all the At options any others to consider.
    Paul,
I agree with your list. I have had the original wranglers, the Pirelli scorpions and now about to go onto my second set of Hankooks. The Pirellis are good but concerns over aquaplaning when partly worn and the significant extra cost of the tyres swing me towards the Hankooks.

Fitted my 255/55/R19 duractracs yesterday and went for a long drive via springbrook national park, Cabarita beach and back to brissie. Minimal road noise. Will check its performance on fraser island in Jan 2015. Got it fitted for $403 per corner from tyresales.
