    Fuel pump

been having few isues with my 94 v8 it splutter and has no power or just stops all together untill turn ignition off and starts up again then is fine for a while. i have found most of the time this acures while driving up hill and hitting speed bumps but always has trouble restarting on an incline. i've been told this problem is from the feul pump not working, so if the feul pump is on its way out is it usual to cut in out like this. or is it likely to be something else every ones apinions would be apreciated thanks.

Yep could be fuel pump, its under a round hatch under the cargo area carpet mat. A VN or VT commodore pump can be used as a replacement, Also you need to check the connectors in the cable, one on the pump housing, one 3 feet along this cable, for brown burn marks from failing connectors.

And this is the Bosch universal kit I have been fitting, no probs so far. Bosch part no. F 000 TE1 1772
Needs a longer bit of EFI hose to connect it though, about 100mm. You need to work out how much by measuring to the bottom of the tank and setting up the pump assembly to about that depth.
