    Post Generic Brake light switch, Off the shelf at repco/autobarn etc !

    Just making note the Tridon part TBS025 swapped over fine for the one in my mums D1 '96.

    These are a very common parts range and ive seen them at many auto shops.

    You will need to however use the nut and collar from the original.

    thats almost the best bit i forget to mention, $16 !

    also they do other landy parts, but less likely to be on the shelf

    Also with Haydent's info, you have a chance to get one at short notice or on a weekend, so its still a valid option.

    This is a different switch to the one fitted to my 95 V8 auto with cruise control.

    sure thing, but the main point of this post was that i was able to get it straight away on a weekend in a country town, so there was no down time awaiting postage.

    if i hadnt found this by chance (as it was hidden behind other models, as the display was all muddled up) i had contemplated hooking up a normal hand operated switch on long wires and have the passenger operate it on notice from the driver so we could at least still drive around

    also i believe this is the cc model, but less chance of it being on the rack:
