middle row cargo barrier?

HI, as I often take my dogs in the disco I would like to get a 2nd cargo barrier that sits behind the front driver and passanger seats.

Does any one know where I could look or have any other ideas? I found out a soft one is possibly available but I would much prefer one of the steel type ones.

I doubt it makes a dfference but I have a rear one already.

Thanks in advance
Xavier.

better check the legalities first, otherwise just modify the rear one and move it up front

Aren't the milford ones able to go behind the first or 2nd row seats?

The milford barrier I have can be used in two positions...

1.) behind the back seat when the seat is in it's normal position, and
2.) behind the back seat when the seat is in it's folded position

the mountings are the same for both positions with extension bars to hold the barrier in it's forward position.

I had thoughts similar to yours, for my dogs ... but never quite got arountuit. I wanted to remove the rear seat completely and put the forward barrier right up behind the front seats, with a platform between the two barriers for the dogs and storage beneath the platform. This would also remove the possibility/temptation of carrying passengers behind the barrier - which certainly is a big No-No! ! !
The platform would have been plenty of room for three Shepherds, but now I need the back seat for the baby seat it won't be happening.

oh right. I had a look and thought forward was narrower but on measuring I was wrong.. Okay.... So from what has been said then can I have 2 barriers or will it only allow for one with the mounting points? I don't think I have ever had passangers in the rear so I'm not fussed about the seats being unable to be used.

Just got a call from a dealer and it seems that it should all be straight forward. Even the cash... about 650 bucks for the barrier .

This will be an ebay job I think. I assume they just go in to place and bolt in... I don't want to pay any one to do this if I can help it so ebay and then fiddle with it I guess.

There's probably enough room on the mounts to have both attached, BUT, the design strength of the mounts themselves might be called into question if two barriers are hanging from them if/when they were required.

Have a look HERE for D1 instructions

(WW, that was over two years ago)

I have my back seats removed and the cargo barrier bolts on the floor where the seat bolts are and behind the grab handles above the doors which leaves enough room behind the front seats to put a bit of gear....snatch straps....chairs.....table etc

Ive just had a Milford put in (behind the passenger seats), I would not attempt fitting, 1 mistake , what a mess. $650 fitted! (D2a) and it came with what must be extension straps if I wanted to fit it behind the front row.
