suspension and tyre ideas?

Hi guys,
I just got myself a 1996 disco 1 v8 es which i am very happy with,
however i am looking to give it a few mods i.e 2" + suspension lift and a good set of tyres, will i need anything other than shocks and springs? i have done some research and checked out the faq's , i will mainly be driving in sand but occasionally mud and a bit of road. i will also be traveling 4 up and luggage at times weather this has any bearing.
also where would you suggest going for a drive in drive out mods in brisbane ? and any idea on price?
thanks a lot Terry sorry for the amount of questions

Springs and shocks is all.

Id just go to ARB. I'm not sure of their current prices, but I would expect something around $1300 or a bit over.

If you go a 2" lift it won't really need anything but springs and shocks. If you go 245/70-r16 or 245/75-r16 you shouldnt need to do anything else. But once the bug bites you won't be able to help yourself the wallet will always be empty

yeah it really depends on how far you want to do. i got a price from arb and it wsa very high at $1700. i would go to a small independent place as they are usually alot cheaper.

245/75 r16 tyres are a good size for everyday use. is this car going to be used as your daily driver or just your play toy

i have also been quoted 1700 from fourbys but that was with correctional radius arms which i have heard i may not need, the missus has a 350 z to use as a daily so im not fussed about going quite far with it........just not sure i want to go cutting the arches etc even knowing i am a sheet metal worker /boiler maker
