    Bighorns!!!

I'm in the market for a new set of tyres and i know a lot of you guys are running these tyres id like to know how they preform on road in wet and dry mud and rock little sand?

Also what sort of millage should i expect out of the tyres?

Are they classed as an A/T? and are they a LT construction?

This page probably answers some of your questions.

    MT-762 Bighorn

They are M/T rather than A/T.

The 751 Bravo is the A/T.

Bighorns are great on road with little noise . They preform well in the wet as well . And they are awesome in mud and on rocks . I'll be getting another set once these wear out . I have taken Elmo places that people with lockers go and made it through . they are the most aggressive M/T on the market at a cheaper price than some others .

    x2 what Mick said

I've had mine on for a few trips now and am mightily impressed with them. Great onroad in the dry and the wet. I'm very impressed with them in mud and just last weekend tested them on rocky stuff. We're so happy we'll be putting them on our defender soon too

How do they stack up against the Buckshot??
Having trubble sourcing BFG T/A's in WA atm in all sizes but looking for 245/70-16 so might look at the 245/75's in the Buckshot. Bighorns are probably more than what i will use here and they need to be good for beach work.

Forest has just got a set of Continental CrossContact AT's which look gooooood!!

    thread is here

    Cheers Andrew

the buckshot is the old technology m/t that maxxis had before the bighorn. dont wear anywhere near as well and dont hold the road anywhere near as well imho.

I've had mine on for a couple of weeks now, they good so far on road and apart from some road noise (they are a mud tyre after all) I like them, much better than my old Nankangs (Maxxis Buckshot copy) I'm yet to try them off road yet.
