    Hot Window Switches

    Hey hey,

The centre console window switches in my 95 D1 300tdi get quite warm (almost hot) after Ive been driving for a while. Been going on for a fair while now, never really bothered me, but I still wanna fix it.
Is it normal for them to get hot? Its not a heater/air con duct leak, because the switches are hot even with cold air going through there.
Any ideas what might be wrong? The plugs and back of the switches seem fine, they all work, no heat damage, signs of melting, nothing.

    Cheers

i seem to have the same prob in my rig as well which is a 95 D1 300Tdi. Have had no probs as well other than one of the switches dont light up anymore but i'm guessing its a globe prob otherwise no problems and she gets hot as well.

Mine get quite warm when driving at night. I always assumed it was just the heat from the globes behind them that makes them warm.

If it bothers you, dump the globes and get some LED's with suitable resistors, shouldn't be hard to do
