Engine saver sensor position for TD5

Hello, does anyone know the best position for the temperature sensor for a TM2 engine saver? I have searched the engine saver posts but have been unable to find an answer. Just a bit unsure of where to put the sensor so as to get quicker reaction on engine temperature to the sensor.

Mines fitted to the head on the L/H/Rear.
Almost under the rear bolt for the acous....sound cover.
Used an existing unused tapped spot on the head.
Works well for me in this spot.
Sorry, no pic's to show it
    Cheers, Kyle

Mine has two sensors - I suppose you'd say a positive and a negative. It relies on their being fluid between the two to make a circuit - as soon as the fluid level drops slightly, the circuit is broken and the alarm sounds.

The two sensors are mounted in opposite sides of the coolant expansion tank.
    Cheers .........

Mine is a Redarc unit and has the screws in the coolant tank also.

Enginesaver now has a combined low coolant and overheat alarm.
The coolant sensor goes into the TD5 bleed screw(or radiator bungs on the TDi/V8) That is the overheat sensor bolted to the head.

Davy is passionate about these. He built them after cooking his TDi Disco.
I did the guinea pig work for him with the TD5 sensor in the bleed screw. The sucsess of this lead to "in the radiator bung" sensors for the TDi and V8 motors negating the need to cut a radiator hose as you had too on the early versions.
David is a great supporter of AULRO and offers us a discount.
