I finally got around to finishing off the AMV CDL actuator and cutting the blue/black cable so I can now leave the CDL "locked" and turn the car off while we explore the depth of bog holes ahead.

On my recent Tallarook trip it was a real pain keeping the engine running when we needed to stop and assess the way ahead. Those with the aftermarket CDL's in pre 2003 D2's will know what I mean

So today I followed the excellent advice from a couple of sites and cut the blue/black cable.

I finished the job by sealing the ends with insulating tape. See middle of pic taken before the insulating tape was added (mainly black part of wire only visible)
