    Diesel in oil problem SORTED!!!

    Gday all
Well after many months of worrying about my TD5 the fuel dilution problem has been sorted. It turned out to be a faulty leaking injector. The injectors were tested for leaks and one was leaking around the plunger stem. It cost a fortune to have them tested but it has paid off as this means my head is ok!!!!. A new injector to replace the faulty one and its all good. Thanks to Ben Robinson at Modern motors Dungog. Highly recommend him.
    Regards
    Robbo

That's good news. How far above the oil fill mark where you gaining, say over a 1000kms?

When you say fortune is that 100 bucks 500 bucks?

I'm hoping mine is an injector or 2, I'm gaining about 20-30mm over a 1000ks

    pm me if you like

I can't believe the prices I've been quoted to test injectors 150 to 175 each wtf. And conflicting information about whether they can be rebuilt or not.

It seems the most economical option is to by new ones from England.

$800 odd to test the 5. Cheaper than a new head. I'm happy it is sorted. $500 ea for new injectors. Regards Robbo
