Mine is a Dec 01, VIN SALLTGMxx1Axxxxxxx without CDL fitted

Would you mind PM'ing me the VIN of your D2? Dec01 seems to be fairly late build for a 1A.

It looks like Dazza's D2 was a mid-June 01 build and Dec compliance.

If anyone has a 1A without the CDL internals could they pm me the VIN so I can check build date.

Could August 01 be the compliance date? Yorkie reported the same month and his D2 minus CDL turned out to be late May build, with August 01 compliance plate.

From the responses so far we have MY01 with CDL in built in the 2nd week of april, a six week gap in build date then two D2 built without CDL - one last week of May, and the other mid June.

This would suggest that the transition to transfer cases without CDL fitted occurred at some point between the beginning of April 2001 and the end of May 2001.

More reports would help narrow this down, and also determine whether there was a clean switch or whether there was a period when some cars had the cdl and others didn't.

Hi Paul,

Are you wanting d2a's in this aswell.

I have had 2 here this week, both 2003 models, both d2a's

Both have a '3a' vin which is why I am asking.

Build dates are mid/late 2002 on both I think - will check
