If your D2 has a VIN between 1A726480 ( first D2 built on 9 April 2001) and 1A732255 (last D2 built on 24 May 2001) and you now whether your vehicle has the CDL internals fitted or not, could you either post to this thread or PM me with the VIN and if the cdl internals are present. You can obscure the last 2 digits for modesty if you like.

Soooooooo...If mine is 1A721xxx I can be pretty sure I have the internals? I tried looking for a serial number but couldn't seem to find it. I'm not exactly mechanically minded so I barely know what I'm looking for to start.

Mine is Vin 1A726540.

Has CDL internals.

Yes, you'll have the internals.

Based the Microcat database that VIN has a 11th June 2001 build date, so well past the change over.

I think your D2 might be the latest CDL equipped 2001MY that AULROians have reported so far - 09/04/2001 build.

Thanks Paul! I'll see what I can find in the next few days.

I guess my only follow up question (which I'm sure has been answered before) is, if they have the internals installed why wouldn't they just add the cabling to make it work?

My TD5 is a build date of June 2001.
VIN is A735620. No CDL installed.
