Using the info here and from another thread, I've finally been able to set up a set of roof bars on Charlie low enough that I can get into my garage with about 25mm clearance!!. RL280 feet were way too high.

I used a pair of RL210 feet at the rear and CXB rail mounts at the front. Cut away the feet as per Fluids pic above. I got the bars level using 4 spacers on the rear bar. Initially looked a bit funny but after a week I'm used to it.

    Cheers and Thanks

    Steve

I bought the lower mounts and cut them, although it would appear that you did a better job. Mine was not that neat .

Some years ago I fitted rhino treated with the angle grinder and the square profile tradesman bars. They looked good but I couldn't stand the wind whistle. Changed them for low profile Rhino bars. It makes no difference to what you can carry legally and no wind noise.

    Cheers
