So you just want to know the width of the screw?
I think I can do that.
Hi Disco-folks, as per thread over in the P38 forum, I am looking for a LR jesus handle for the passenger "A-pillar". The P38 has mounting threads under the fascia trim, but the stock interior grab handles dont fit on it!
Aparantly some Discos have them and I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to measure the mounting screw width for the Disco variant so I can see if it will fit.
Thanks!

Okay, so I don't have them on the A pillar sorry.
If it helps, the roof mounted ones are secured with what seems to be a 6mm flange bolt![]()
Like this?
Excuse the lack of bolt covers on the handle and the bad photo!
Thanks, I have new information - The centre-centre threaded holes in the A pillar (for the P38) are 175mm. So all I need is a interior grab handle with that hole spacing. I would rather a LR OEM version though.

Yes! Just like that. Questions:
1) Excuse ignorance, but what kind of car is that, it has a P38 interior light switch but maybe they are shared with a Disco?
2) What is that cool looking monitor forward of the roof light switch?
3) What is the hole spacing for that perfect looking grab handle?
Thanks!!

That is a cracking roof console. What is it out of? Cheers mattOriginally Posted by Monkiefone
Thanks Guys.
the Roof console is from a D2 Metropolis special edition. It would have had satnav in the area that I have the screen but I have a reversing camera monitor in there instead.
Consoles are very rare and I don't think the special edition was available anywhere other than the UK.
It takes the light unit from a 5 door freelander 1.
The Grab handle is a standard roof grab handle. the reverse of it is trimmed to fit the contour of the A pillar trim. The A pillar trim then had to rectangles cut in it so the handle sits in the holes and against the metal of the A piller. two holes through the A pillar and a nut and bolt (bolt head sits neatly just behind the door deal on the outside) and job done. the just trim the end covers to go on the handle.
I'll try and get a few more pics at the weekend.
