    Show us ya.....provent.

    Just ordered a provent 200.

Was looking for a place to mount it in the engine bay.

Saw the 2 bolt holes on the left hand wheel arch, up from the chassis rail, though this might be an ok place?

Anyone mounted their provent elsewhere in their disco. I've had a search/look on here, but the seem to be defenders or the pictures have been removed.

Putting the D2a intercooler in with the provent, next week, they will accompany the new Cooper AT3's I put on yesterday!!!

Same place left side wheel arch with a bracket up from the two holes, just in front of the second battery. I will upload images at the weekend I have not done the drain line yet it will be part of pulling the exhaust manifold off to do the studs and other jobs.

If you can bend up a piece of strip steel, there is enough room to mount the provent on the top passenger side of the engine bay.

I have the exhaust manifold and turbo off in the pics but you will get the idea of where it is mounted. In regard to the oil drain, I know many users have plumbed it into the oil return line by brazing a T piece into the line. I plumbed it into an oil catch can ($40 from Autobarn) as I did not want to be out and find the brazed connection was leaking - but I have also heard of some who just put a tap into the bottom of a hose, so it is a matter of choice.

    Cheers

Sorry to dig up an old thread but the title fits the question.

I have just got hold of a Provent 200 and it is much bigger than the pictures seem to show??

I have ACE and a second battery under the bonnet and for the life of me I can't find room to fit it in, especially if I want to close the bonnet.

Help guys if you have fitted one in somewhere post up a pic please.

    What Ian said.
I used a simple tap in a piece of good-quality hose which was the correct size for the oil drain fitting on the bottom of the Provent. The tap is sheathed (so it doesnt rattle about) within a bigger piece of split pipe and cable-tied to a safe place in the LH chassis rail.
When I change the oil, I drain out about a quarter of a cup of oil.
Here are some pictures of the Provent in place. Its attached to a piece of plate, which is bolted to the wheel arch (Ie not screwed to the fire-wall) with stainless fasteners.
'One day', I'll powder-coat the plate.
    Good luck.
