    No.. Quickly is easy...

    If someone wears a set of Tyres in xyz km and consider it "quickly" then that's easy.

    As far as push my tyres hard.. Ask around here I'm not gentle or slow...

    Those chunks missing are very indicative of US made rubber, tears will be worse from stones flung from the front.

    keep the reviews/opinions coming guys. I started this thread because I couldn't find much "unbiased" opinion around but the more info for others is always beneficial.

    Quick update on pressures. Mine are currently set at 34psi as recommended by the seller. Went for a good hwy drive & rechecked to check increase when up to temp. Fronts only increased 1 psi to 35 & rear increased 4 to 38. Haven't played with pressures off road yet.

    Also had a PM re standard spare wheel carrier and this size tyre.

    For anyone else interested they fit no problem with no mods reqd. There is only a mm or two in it but enough not to touch the rear bumper.

    Inverting the carrier is a easy fix if you decide to go bigger.

    Bridgestone Dueler 661 235/85R16 10ply

    An awesome alternative that seems to go unnoticed in southern oz is the Bridgestone Dueler 661 235/85R16. It's a true 10ply All Terrain and tough, near vertical HD sidewalls, very hard to puncture. It's the stalwart of miners, pastoralists and those who live and work in harsh desert and rocky country in the north. Heavy duty, excellent AT tread pattern and on road it's smooth and quieter than a mud tyre. I've been using these for 15 years and it would be difficult to sway me. Regularly see 60,000+km out of them. These are of my current tyres, done 20,000km of mixed long highway and desert / rocky / sandy / corrugated roads and tread is still virtually as new.

    Hi guys

    I was just wanting to clarify - when people are saying they get 50k km out of a set of tyres, is that a set of 4, 5, or 6?

    I know its better to rotate your spares onto your car when you rotate your tyres but im sure everyone does it differently. Just wanting to make sure im comparing the right number of apples with apples

    Hey DiscoTastic, I only rotate when I get a puncture lol, which is virtually never. So I reckon my 60,000km is a pretty true average for 4 tyres. I've also got a small stock of used 661's in the shed that I use as spares, they're so tough. So I only ever buy 4 at a time. ...the advantage of sticking to one tried and true tyre over many years I suppose.

    I run 40psi front and rear.

    The first set were in standard 16" D2 size, the second set (Revo 2) were in 32" size to suit 18" wheel.

    Both sets of Bridgestone wore quickly, by quickly I mean that they wore significantly faster than the set of tyres that followed them (BF Goodrich AT). My vehicle only does around 10,000km per year and after the first year with the Bridgestone there was significant wear of the tread (when measuring the tread depth) - I didn't keep either long after beyond a year.
    I hope the OP doesn't experience this but for me I wouldn't get Bridgestone AT tyres again - they just don't suit my driving or vehicle. I was happy with them in all other ways but have found the BF G to be equal in every way and better in the tyre life. I was thinking of trying the Kuhmo KL78 AT next but the new version of the BF G AT's with the fancy sidewalls looks great on trucks and I've had no issues with them so will probably go that way.

    Interesting...which bridgestones were they? I run my 661's at 30psi all round unless fully loaded.

    I run mine 42psi front and rear unloaded, sometimes over 50psi loaded. Fully loaded at 2800kg I was at 55psi on the hwy.

    I know the fronts are too high but it evens up the tread wear from cornering. I wear the shoulders around corners and the centre on the straights.

    I usually kick off on the dirt around 28psi and keep speed at a very max 80km/h. I'll hit 80km/h on good smooth stuff but usually well under depending on conditions.

    Off road I kick off at 20psi and work down as needed. I won't go under 12psi.

    So your rear are spot on and your fronts are over inflated using the 4psi rule. You must have a light load and/or be driving fairly slow. Why doesn't anyone use the placarded tyre pressure? I'm fairly sure the blokes designing the car knew a thing or two.
