    Question 3rd Row Seat Lever

A ham-fisted mate broke off the plastic backrest release lever on the left 3rd row seat.

For some reason I have to put my hand under the seat to engage a clip that should engage by itself, thereby allowing the lever to work, but my mate didn't know this.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem and, is it possible to buy a spare lever. I have searched all over the internet with no luck.

Its called a squab release handle. Part numbers HXO100020 (RH) or HX0100030 (LH). Comes in grey or black (black add suffix PUY to part no). The handle is locked unless the lower catch fully engages with the latch in the floorspace. Some judicious slamming of seat into the latch until it properly engages may be required! If the squab handle does not move the lower catch is not fully engaged even if the seat feels as though it is locked down.

    Thanks Panya,
Is there actually anybody out there that would sell such an obscure part?

I bought one myself a year or so ago from someone in UK - he never made a fuss about it being difficult to locate. Search for part no in google brings up britcar.co.uk so must be able to get it sent to you if not at local dealer/shops.
