    Moved My Auto Comp.

After a slight problem with a leaking door seal I decided to move my Auto ECU today.
Thought I'd post it here as it only relates to a proper Disco.

I found it would fit under the panel that the SRS module is mounted on.
    So,
    Remove L/H seat.
Undo Auto ECU cover plate and pull ECU off.
    Remove centre console.
Remove rear suround.(My seats are out so try a bent philips head?)
    Undo air vents and remove.
Remove bracket that holds rear of console and air vents.
Line up ECU under panel and use a longer bolt through the L/H front hole and use a nut to hold it.

Drill a hole to hold the outher side and bolt up (I used the bolt replaced from bracket)
Cut cable tie holding wiring together and route wiring to suit.
This should allow the outher loom to still reach under the seat for the pretensioner.
    Refit all parts.
I put the plastic clips back in the cover plate and refitted as my air comp. lives on it.

This has raised the ECU 75mm.
The area has air movment so it shouldn't get hot.

    Cheers Kyle.

    Hi Kyle
Good idea. How is the "rebuild" going after the flooding, close to putting it back together yet?
