    Wiring loom

Does anyone know if there is an adaptor to go between my disco 2 and any particular brand of aftermarket head unit to save me soldering or twisting wires to make it work?
In advance, cheers to all who respond

Yes. The 'factory' radio is a locally supplied unit from Eurovox (unless you have an ES model). There's a link lead between the factory harness & the radio. The factory harness end is a standardised plug so most decent auto shops (Repco can anyway) will be able to get an adaptor to suit your radio of choice.
I think the adaptor harness brand is Aeropro (or something like that).

I think what I have is the ES model or at least that's what it was advertised as but there's no badges or anything I can find stating it's an ES. What are the telltale signs it is an ES? Again, forgive my ignorance.

Mr Scouse is right - aerpro make harnesses to fit most current brands. Most Landrovers are built with a standard harness and then they make an adaptor for each type of radio supplied in each country. Mostly it is Euro iso on the LR end- I use a Kenwood- euro iso harness.

Whilst we are on the subject...
Does any know if the steering wheel controls are standardised between manufactures, and if so, do these after-market harnesses support the steering wheel controls ?
