    3rd Battery in SLS Holder

Gidday people. Just a shot of my third battery in the SLS Cradle. You will actually need some protection for it, conveyor belt or just plain ol' ply wood.... which is on my TO DO list, it got a few nasty stone hits on a couple of bush trips and has a good bit of scoring from us scraping over something.
    Anyhoo....

I'm also going to cover the terminals and put a water proof box with an isolator and a fuse in there someplace!

I slipped a piece of 1/8" plate c/w tabs to prevent it sliding out and with a thin layer of rubber matting on top under mine, and thick rubber matting facing the front of the vehicle and behind the battery against the chassis.

I earthed mine to the gearbox as the chassis is not normally earthed other than via the front tailshaft, diff and steering box and associated bearings, although fitting a winch usually provides a good path.

Yeah it's a lot of fun getting it into that spot! I lay my legs under the Landy, sat the batto on my tummy and thrust it in there. All came naturally in the end!

I'm glad I put the terminals at the top in the end, the guy at battery world made that suggestion!
