    excessive fuel consumption rd2!

    buggered if i know!
after i thought i had gotten somewhere with my fuel consumption issue in the D2 it appears i havnt
replaced every sensor except the map sensor...
the last 2 tanks showed 11-11.8L/100k
    this tank i got 17.49L/100k

and that was with the wife driving all of it bar one 80klm trip on sunday.

so ive just changed out number 2 injector as it was showing -7 to +7 on the nanocom while the other 4 showed -3 to +5..
oh and im off to QLD on wednesday, hope im not looking for fuel every 500k's

    stupid brilliant motor

    cheers phil

Out of curiosity, have you looked at/changed the crank angle sensor ?

I'm not sure if this would affect your fuel economy but was the cause of my TD5 showing excessive injector +/- figures on the nanocom.

was that on all injectors or just one?
it was only #2 that showed the major differance the others were almost the same range.

I couldn't find a pattern to the +/- injector readings, they were all prone to large readings (anywhere from +/- 5 to 17); a much different scenario to that of yours if you were only experiencing a single injector out of whack.
