How did you do that
TIM
Attached is some photo's of the damage caused from relatively easy tracks yesterday. So i think it is time to make a rear bar has anybody got some photos of theirs they could show me for ideas and how they attached it for strength.I think i might try a tube type bar but am not to fussed about the style so any sugestions are welcome.By tbhe way i will be cutting the gaurds up a bit higher and running some metal under there for protection.Cheers Brett

The left one was a log that had been cut with barely enough room to get through i just slipped a little and that was the result. The right hand side was 2 different incidents the first was going through a deep mud hole the front came up out before the back dropped in and the back slipped 2 the right and the bank nailed the corner where the corner cone is and pushed the body in a bit.The second we found a german guy stuck in a mud hole nose first towards us(no recovery equipment road tyres ect)so we thought pulling him out backwards would be best as the track got a lot worse were we had come from.So my mates were guiding me past his toyota and we slipped into him his door caved in mine is a couple of ripples and scratches. He had sent his missus to look for help in the rain miles from any where i think he got chewed something chronic. They were just glad to get out so no cost to me thank christ.
Cheers Brett
P.s when i get some photos of the day i will post them in another thread
Your a rough bugger mate. I'd cry if i done that to my disco .... but i did only just get it
. Know of any tracks where we could go with only A/T's . Did go for a quick squirt out jancourt forest and found a couple of tame tracks but had fun
.
battle scars!!!!

not exactly what your looking for brett, i.e homemade, but this is a scorpion racing one, (i think) with hi-lift jacking points
i fitted it last week to what is now my missus' car and am really pleased with it.
took it out for a drive on saturday and didn't do any damage - done plenty before it was fitted note the crease in the panel above the trim.
I'ld go with 5mm PFC Say 120 x75 (lump of C Channel)
You can shape it easy on the ends to fit the car
Looks like you need the bumper to take the bash & not colapse / also good for backing over trees (It can get tight)
Wouldn't use tube steel, too flimsy in a "crunch"
Nice - it just now gives you an excuse to make somthing better.
Think of it as a good thing.
