    hi tassie;

    I remember seeing it done on Ace's car down at cooma, it can be easily fabricated. where the circilar bracket is welded on to the bracket itself , the welds can be grided back , taken off and a new extension welded up to extended it rear ward by about ahh I'd say 60mm but need confirmation on this...

    Here's the detail of a shot I posted earlier, in another 2 batteries thread

    The original bracket has simply been cut and an extension welded in (I've seen others done with bolts and nylocs instead of welding)
    As you can see, I've fitted a 720cca N70ZZ.

    Thanks for post stevo , I also see on LHS from the direction of Aircleaner box another brackets Bolted/welded on towards the direction of the power steering pump resevoir , is this to keep the Power steering Pump Bracket Steardy , or am I seeing things?

    Thanks for the Pics Matt ,

    just looking at your set up it looks like no welding required , just a bit of cutting and bending, I like how you've utilised the panel in front of Air box to support the bracket with another piece.

    Hi Disco_owner.

    I have had to move my power steer reservior more than most on account I have wanted to max size of battery after moving my air box back to accomodate one of my raised air intake entries still using the front of the air box.

    I made it a L shaped bracket just like matbor (with a 2nd foot mount around base of battery) as it was canterlevering too far away from radiator mount without that. I also used a offset or dogleg in the bracket to also relocate coil within that bracket dogleg and to an accessible location.

    My 2nd battery powers goodies like my carputer (pic of its roof mount gimbled 8 1/2" screen attatched).

    Thanks for Posting , I suspect that in my case just extending bracket rearward by about 60 mm or so will create sufficient enough to get an equivalent of an N70 Battery in. hopefully it will , if not I'll make a doggyleg bend similar to what you've done.
