I just wanted anyone who was thinking of purchasing the RSW Solutions, ABS amigo device from the US, to reset their 3 amigo grief, I purchased last week off the web and received it today and was very happy. Apart from a slight postage situation that was a genuine mistake, the service from the developer Mr Storey Wilson was excellent. He offered to replace the item with express post (it went missing through human error address mistake) but it was located in quick time. Either way he maintained contact until I got it.
As for the device, i plugged it in and it did what it said in the ad it would do. it flashed a few colours then finished in green - approx 15 seconds. I turned off ignition, restarted and all lights reset. I plugged it into my home computer, and it told me what my fault was - fortunately it was a soft fault, it only got a bad reading from an initial test and set the lights off. Now its all reset and (so far) still off. It took about 2 weeks to arrive including the postage problem, so maybe 8 days otherwise. Its solved my problem and now its mine to reuse when ever I need it, so if anyone is thinking about it and doesn't want to pay the LR fee to reset each time, its not a bad buy.
I also found a link to a step by step instruction to rebuild and resolder the Wabco ABS Module for Discoveries (and HUMMERS) - which I cant refind at the moment, however I was wondering if anyone else has seen it and had it done? It related to the fault possibly being the module having really dodgy soldering inside and shorting out. Apparently Hummers use same module with similiar problems to the Discovery amigos.. I was thinking of (when I find link again) taking it to my local brake place and seeing if they can quote to do it. The link was good with colour photos and step by step guide. If anyone has done it, did it work and how much if done by a shop?

I did my shuttle valves about 6 weeks ago and also did the rewire aswell, I followed the instructions in the link above, Part B, it took about 1.5hrs and so far my prob is gone, shuttle valve repair kit from falcon works was about $150US, water proof plug from supercheap $7AU, I was quoted about $3500 for a new module to fix the prob from my local LR shop.
There is heaps of info in the good oils, read through and you should be able to fix your prob.

I'm still unsure as to how this device would fix the 3 amigoes,, just resetting the faults wont actually fix the problem. Using option B will.
and its almost never the shuttle valves--
The D2 pulses the ABS on startup as a fault check, you should feel it through the brake pedal or passengers floor.

I purchased all the items to do the option B operation.
I got as far as removing the 3 rubber bushes that support the ABS unit.
Managed to prise up the unit after releasing the pipe hoses and clips.
Then tried to undo the hex bolts under the unit aka shuttle valve unit.
They would not undo and nothing that I tried worked, I did not want to damage something so I refitted everything that I had removed and closed the bonnet.
I had the fault code read at the land rover dealer and it read faulty rear right hand side sensor @$345.70 AU (typical dealer rip off, in my opinion ) and new shuttle valve @ $135.60 AU...Phew
I have found a place in the UK that has the sensor for $38 pounds and they apparently dont know about shuttle valves (fool of the family in charge of answering emails again)....
So I will buy a sensor from UK and possibly a shuttle valve if they know what it is? and take it all back to the land rover dealer and see what the cost is to fit these items? they were not to happy when I commented that I was going to look on the web for the required items.
Inverted snobbery again, has anyone else struck this at land rover dealers?
I do imagine that they will remove the ABS unit complete and work on it on a bench, which will mean that they will have to power bled the brakes after refitting.
Cant imagine what the bill is going to be.

The wabco plate is held in by allen key bolts,,,,,
yes, you may need to put a ring spanner on the allen key to break the loctite,
you CAN powerbleed it yourself,,
