It wasn't so much going backwards that had me holding my breath, it was the going backwards at 45° to the slope that did it.

Good photo though, sadly the steepness of the slope is lost in the photo as usual.

If you keep going on that track(that's what the S3 is for) it does technically go to swanbank, but the big fence about 2ks from that pic with White Rock Conservation estate, no vehicles allowed, or something to that effect kind of ruins the drive. pity, there used to be some good track in there(10 yrs+ago).

hahaha thanks! its ok, i have finally got the car going again, so i will be out buying new gear. I think my dad may have cooked my UHF playing with the battery terminals tho!

OK, even though I don't own a Freelander - my mum does - I do every now and then drive hers. Great car, wouldn't mind having one down the track to go with the Defender...with a bit of skill and good tyres it's amazing where you can take them - except when you run out of ground clearance (anyone say sand ).
