Hi, you don't have to engage, just get up to speed and press the + button on the steering wheel (top button LHS) and CC will set. You can adjust speed by holding + or - button; cancel and resume by pressing the lower button LHS.
Hope this helps,
Rob

Every Defender owner will get to know Freelanders well, in fact you will learn about all of LRs loan cars, Volvos, Jags and the like. They should use this as a selling point when pitching the Defender.

Should I tell the boss that you've found the speed limiter on his car?

Or just the speed warning?

In the traditional sense a speed limiter is what they have on trucks and Ferraris, the FL2 may have one as well but at a guess may be around the 180km/h mark. I think what Dullbird was asking about is what you see in Commodores, they beep at you when you exceed a set speed by you and the FL2 doesn't have one of these.

there is a speed limiter on the pug I think...well thats what Ian told me..he said you set it to a speed a bit like cruise control but it does not allow you to go over it as he found out when trying to overtake someone when he forgot he set it

he said he could not find the cruise control on the pug and then said he thought that the FL2 might be the same....however I thought it very odd for a land rover not to have cruise control hence the question...

and now I have used it I have an even more relaxing drive to work in the mornings..its so nice having air conditioning that works properly

I thought the aircon in the new Defenders was quite good? Or is it just a problem with yours hence the loan car?

I drove a Peugot around Europe and the speed limiter was pretty handy. It took me about 3 days to figure out how to use the cruise control on it.
